Free doughnuts from McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme: How to get them
McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme are teaming up, and are giving away free doughnuts this weekend to celebrate their partnership. Here’s how to get the freebie.
Earlier this year, McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme announced they were forming a partnership to offer doughnuts at participating branches of the fast food giant.
Krispy Kreme will begin rolling out its iconic Original Glazed doughnuts and other flavors to select McDonald’s locations in the Chicago area on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
The other flavors coming out will be the Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnut, and Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled Doughnut. The doughnuts will be available the whole day while supplies last.
But before the partnership is launched next week, it’s already being celebrated by the two restaurants by giving away doughnuts to diners.

Although the collaboration between the two chains will initially be available only in the Chicago area, Krispy Kreme says it plans to have its doughnuts served in more than 1,000 McDonald’s outlets by the end of 2024, and spread out to approximately 12,000 stores by the end of 2026.
