Free solar eclipse glasses in New York: Here’s where to get them
One of the most magnificent celestial events is coming but to safely gaze upon the solar eclipse you’ll need special glasses. Here’s where to get them free.
A total solar eclipse will pass over the United States for a second time in seven years. Fans of astronomy and celestial events are eagerly anticipating the event that will take place on Monday April 8, 2024.
The rare occurrence will cross Northern America, and some lucky states will have great views of the Moon passing directly between the Sun and the Earth and watching day turn into night for brief time. It will be quite the show even for those outside the path of totality that will only see a partial solar eclipse. But in order to do so, you are strongly advised to wear special glasses to protect your eyes from the harmful rays of the Sun.
