SOLAR ECLIPSE 2024

Free solar eclipse glasses in Pennsylvania: Here’s where to get them

Viewing a solar eclipse without the right eyewear can cause permanent eye damage. Here’s where to get a free pair of special glasses in the Keystone State.

Americans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming solar eclipse that will traverse the United States from Texas to New England. Pennsylvania is positioned for prime viewing of the awe-inspiring celestial phenomenon with the path of totality passing over four northwestern counties.

Most of the rest of the state lies within the 90 percent range. However, those who do go out to view the wonderous sight should wear special protective glasses or risk permanently damaging your eyes.

Fortunately, to make sure that people gaze upon the celestial event safely, there are places giving them away free or along with a small purchase.
