According to the latest update, the five largest U.S. banks have a combined $10.7 trillion in assets, while the next 15 banks on the list together hold just over $5 trillion.

According to figures from the Federal Reserve, based on data as of December 31, 2025, these are the largest banks in the United States by total assets.
JPMorgan Chase
Chase Bank is the consumer banking division of JPMorgan Chase. It currently operates more than 5,000 branches across the country.

Bank of America
Bank of America serves more than 67 million consumers and small business clients worldwide. In the United States, it has more than 3,600 branches.
- Assets: $2.47 trillion
- Headquarters: Charlotte, North Carolina
Citibank
Citigroup is a global financial services corporation. Its retail banking division has about 660 branches in the United States. U.S. customers also have access to more than 65,000 fee-free ATMs.

Founded in 1852, Wells Fargo has more than 4,100 branches in the United States.
