Goodbye to Social Security payments in December: these are the Americans who will not cash their paychecks last month of the year

The changes in the December social security payment schedule are now official for all beneficiaries.

The Social Security Administration has made official the news about the payment schedule for November and December for SSI program beneficiaries. The SSA has already announced that there will be a double payment in November, which is the reason why there will be no payment in December.

In this way, Social Security beneficiaries will receive 3 checks in November. What are these checks, and why are there changes to the usual payment schedule?

What are the reasons why there will be no Social Security payments in December?

The Social Security Administration has announced that beneficiaries will receive the payments already scheduled for November, as well as the monthly check scheduled for December, however, this check will also be received in November.

The main reason the December check will be sent in November is that December 1 is a Sunday, and the Social Security Administration cannot send money on holidays or weekends.

Who will receive Social Security payments?

The people who will receive the payments from the Social Security Administration in November (the scheduled payments for November plus the December payment) will be retirees, workers with social benefits, people with disabilities, and spouses receiving pensions.

As always, the date of each payment depends on each beneficiary’s birth date, as well as other factors, such as the length of time they have been receiving Social Security benefits.

Currently there are many people who can also access social security payments if they meet the requirements of the administration.

What will the Social Security payment schedule be in November 2024?

  • The first payment will be made on November 1. Under normal circumstances, it would be on the 3rd, but in this case, it will be on the 1st because the 3rd is a Sunday, and as we mentioned earlier, Social Security does not make payments on Sundays. The people who will receive their money on this date are those who registered before May 1997 and were born between the 1st and 10th of each month.
  • The second payment date for beneficiaries is November 13. On this date, the people who registered after May 1997 and were also born between the 11th and 20th of any month will receive their payment. This date includes Social Security disability beneficiaries.
  • The third payment for November will be on Wednesday, the 27th, and it applies to those registered after May 1997 and born between the 21st and 31st of any month.
  • The first payment for December will be advanced to November 29, the last friday of the month.

The Social Security payment dates may change each month because, as we have seen, many factors can affect the payment date. It is advisable to always check the dates announced by the administration to avoid any confusion among beneficiaries.

After the December advance payments, it has already been announced who will be the first beneficiaries for the year 2025 and on which days they will receive their payments in their bank accounts.
