Goodbye to the Espresso Frappuccino: This is the complete list of drinks Starbucks is getting rid of starting next week

Starbucks has announced that come early March, there will be significant changes to their global chain menu, in an attempt to “simplify” their offering. Though Starbucks will be removing some items from the lineup, they will be adding others. All in all, the items removed represent “a roughly 30% reduction of menu items" which corporate leaders believe will “make way for innovation.”

In a recent press release, the coffee chain defended the decision, stating that the drinks "aren’t commonly purchased, can be complex to make, or are like other beverages on our menu."

For those concerned over their favorites being booted from the menu, Starbucks provides reassurance that baristas will be able to point you towards a similar drink. Customers visiting a Starbucks cafe after Tuesday, March 4, will see the changes reflected in the menu.

One fan favorite that will be discontinued is the Espresso Frappuccino, which packs a heavy punch with the grande containing 42 grams of sugar, a shot of espresso, blended with milk, “to give you a nice little jolt,” remarked the in their description of the frozen beverage. The Espresso Frappuccino is just one of the “several” fraps that are slated for removal. Axios, the news outlet, confirmed the others in an article published earlier this week:

Additionally, the Royal English Breakfast Latte will not make it onto the new menu, and neither will Starbucks' White Hot Chocolate. As a part of the chain’s Spring lineup, “the beloved Lavender beverages” will make their return, joined by two new options, an Iced Cherry Chai and Jalapeño Chicken Pocket.
