Medicare is one of the main health insurance plans in the United States. This program is intended for adults over 65 years of age, as well as young people with disabilities and patients with permanent kidney failure.
Medicare coverage primarily comprises four parts: A, B, C and D. Part A covers hospital services, Part B covers managed services outside the hospital, C expands Part A and B coverage and, finally, D covers prescription drugs.
According to official information from the Social Security Administration (SSA), all retired workers age 65 or older who receive monthly Social Security benefits will be automatically enrolled in Part A. .
