Donald Trump’s criminal trial, where he is accused of falsifying business records to hide a series of payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels, began in New York on Monday. The case centers on a hush-money payment paid to adult film star Stephanie Clifford, known professionally as Stormy Daniels.
Alvin Bragg, the District Attorney for Manhattan, brought the case forward, and both Ms. Daniels and Michael Cohen, who was accused of making the payment, are expected to testify.
