How to qualify for the $600 aid check in New York in December
Some New York residents may be eligible to receive financial aid in the form of a $600 relief check. Here are the requirements and how to apply.
Some New York State residents may be eligible for a one-time refund check of up to $600. This is made possible through the School Tax Relief program, popularly known as STAR. Through this program, homeowners can get financial assistance and save on property taxes.
People who are already enrolled in the program will receive their refund at the end of the year. However, those who are interested in receiving it next year have until Dec. 31, 2024 to register. Here are the requirements to apply for the aid.

How to qualify for the $600 aid check in New York in December
There are two versions of the STAR program: the basic version and the enhanced version. In the first version, the maximum reimbursement to be received is $250, while in the second, it is $650. These are the requirements to be eligible for the basic STAR:

If you are unsure whether you are enrolled in the STAR Program, you can check your status by contacting the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.
