THANKSGIVING

How to watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving: Is it on TV and which streaming platforms?

The seasonal adventures of Charlie Brown are a key part of festive traditions in households right across the country, but how can you watch this year?

The classic comic strip following the exploits of Charlie Brown has become a holiday staple over the years. The first holiday special, A Charlie Brown Christmas, was aired in December 1965.

The success of that Christmas special was followed by a Thanksgiving alternative, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. That iconic TV special first aired in 1973 and has continued to captivate family audiences for the past five decades. In the story Charlie Brown, alongside his friends Linus, Snoopy and Woodstock, set out to make a Thanksgiving dinner.

For the best part of 50 years the Thanksgiving special has aired every Thanksgiving on ABC, but the network has recently lost the rights. This year, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is streaming exclusively on Apple TV+.

The 25-minute Thanksgiving special will not be aired on television this year, but Apple have decided to make the show available to stream for free from Wednesday, 23 November through Sunday, 27 November.

What other Charlie Brown festive specials are there?
