Instagram works on “AI agents”: 30 different assistants at your service
Online sleuths have discovered that Instagram is developing AI “personalities” to help bring your user experience to a whole new level.
Instagram, owned by Meta, is one of the most used social media platforms in the world.
Many associate the success of the app with how Meta was able to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its algorithm that curates content for each user. And now we know that Instagram is working on adding even more AI features, leaving many impressed with what could be coming to users across the world.
Instagram will add AI agents to its interface. What can we do with them?
The source of the leak is none other than Alessandro Paluzzi, a well-known developer who has taken a deep dive into Instagram’s code to understand these new features. Paluzzi took to Twitter to report what he has found so far. Thirty AI bots are being developed that users will be able to select from depending on which personality they think best suits them.
When will the feature be released?
The well-known developer has not provided more information, so everything indicates that it is a function that has been discovered in the internal code of the application. But the fact that he found the codes implies that sooner —and hopefully not later— users will have access to this tool.
It is currently unclear what type of artificial intelligence will be utilized to respond to your inquiries. While Meta has shown interest in this field, it is too early to have created their own AI. Therefore, it is probable that ChatGPT, the OpenAI solution, powers the system.
In any case, seeing that it’s almost ready, it’s most likely that in the coming weeks, Instagram will announce the arrival of these AI agents to the social network.
