Khloe Kardashian explains what she needs from Tristan Thompson after the birth of her son
Khloe broke her silence to speak about her second child with ex-partner Thompson, and has now provided more insight into what she is looking for.
Three weeks after Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson were confirmed to be welcoming their second child, the Good American founder broke her silence to speak for the first time about the arrival of another baby with her ex-partner. Last year he had a child with another woman.
What Khloe said about second child with Tristan
In a recent interview with Elle, the socialite opened up about expanding her family with Thompson, with whom she also shares 4-year-old daughter, True. When asked how she’s doing “as a mother of two,” Khloe said, “I know it’s cliche, but I love everything about it, even the hard parts.”
She added that her children “challenge her as a person,” so “being able to turn little people into really amazing big people is an honor and a gift.
“We have to take those roles seriously, especially in today’s age, with the accessibility children have and the information they are exposed to so young. It’s really scary, but I take my job very seriously. I love it so much”, he added.

Khloe wants Tristan to remain in children’s lives
Now we have learned more about the parental structure that Khloe wants for her kids, and Tristan is seen as a part of that, although there is a strong support network in place. Speaking in the season two premiere of The Kardashians, she confirmed that she had chosen to have Tristan at the hospital for the birth of their boy, via surrogate, despite the paternity lawsuit with him last year.
“We did an embryo transfer, like, days before Thanksgiving, and I found out about Tristan’s situation the first week of December,” she said. “It’s just so close. I wouldn’t want anyone to think I did this after the fact. Why would I want to have a baby with someone who is having a baby with somebody else?
“Obviously I’m going through this pregnancy without my partner, but I don’t feel lonely. I know I have the best family in the world.”
As Khloe explained to her friend, Malika Haqq, ‘daddy issues’ is something she wants her kids to do without.
“I’ve always wanted two parents in the household helping raise the kids. Sometimes we still just want the white house and the picket fence.”
Khloe kept the news secret after Tristan’s infidelity
In a statement to E! News in June, a representative for Khloe confirmed that True would have a brother, who was conceived in November of last year. However, at the time, the news was kept secret, as another infidelity of Tristan’s was discovered soon after.
It was in December 2021 when it became known that the NBA star was sued for paternity by Maralee Nichols, with whom he was unfaithful to the star of ‘The Kardashians’.
A source told E! News that Khloé kept the arrival of her second child a secret “to protect the privacy and safety of the surrogate mother and to protect her mental health from public judgment as a result of Tristan’s actions.” And now she is looking forward.
“This has been a difficult time in my life,” Khloe said. “But it’s the start of something positive and happy and beautiful.”
