Labor Day signals a time for shopping deals, but diners can also expect special offers from restaurants and other food establishments.
In celebration of the holiday, Krispy Kreme is offering customers a dozen of its Original Glazed doughnuts for only $2.

You can get the discounted rate with an order of any dozen doughnuts at regular price. Doughnut fans can take advantage of the deal all through the long weekend until Monday, Sept. 2.
The offer is available in-store and for pick up at participating outlets. You can also redeem it through the Krispy Kreme app or website and have the doughnuts delivered.
If you order through the app or the website for pick up or delivery, you are limited to ordering one dozen of the $2 sweet treats. If you purchase in-store or at the drive-thru, the limit goes up to two dozen marked-down doughnuts.
The chain’s Labor Day offer is part of its “Go for 2″ promo, aimed at football fans who are set to enjoy the first week of the college football season. The deal serves as an incentive to earn extra points over the long weekend.

Krispy Kreme adds Dr Pepper-flavored doughnut to menu for the return of NFL
Krispy Kreme earlier this month launched a glazed doughnut topped with flavored frosting that tastes of Dr Pepper. The frosting will be covered with a burgundy sprinkle blend, and feature a white chocolate Dr Pepper logo.
The soda-flavored creation is one of three new treats included in the Krispy Kreme Kickoff Collection.
Number two is the Buttercreme Goals Doughnut, made of the original glazed dipped in green icing. The icing is covered in rainbow sprinkles, which are in turn topped with a yellow buttercreme goal post.
The last flavor in the group is the Kreme-Filled Football Doughnut, which is shaped and colored like a football. It’s dipped in chocolate icing and contains white cream filling.
These sporty doughnuts will only be available for a limited time.
