Krispy Kreme releases Ghostbusters doughnut collection for Halloween: What are the new flavors?
It’s just a few more weeks until Halloween, and Krispy Kreme is celebrating the occasion by offering limited-edition doughnuts inspired by ‘Ghostbusters.’
Halloween is just a few weeks away, and Krispy Kreme is celebrating the spooky season by selling limited-edition doughnuts inspired by the classic movie “Ghostbusters”.
Apart from the celebration of Halloween, the collaboration between Sony Pictures and the doughnut chain is also a way to pay homage to the comedy, which is marking the 40th anniversary of its debut in theaters.
“Yes it’s true, these treats are no trick. When it comes to Halloween this year, you know who to call,” said a Krispy Kreme news release.
“Krispy Kreme is the gatekeeper to Halloween sweetness and Sony Pictures Consumer Products is the key master to bring spooky-sweet Ghostbusters doughnuts to our fans this year.”

The chain is offering four new creations to honor the film that stars Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray.
Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut made with Oreo
Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate and topped with Oreo pieces, buttercreme, and a No Ghost logo candy.
Slimer Doughnut
An unglazed doughnut filled with lemon flavored green, dipped in purple and green icing with a Slimer candy.

Ecto-Sprinkled Doughnut
Original Glazed doughnut dipped in orange colored icing, with neon sprinkle toppings.
Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Doughnut Pull-Apart
Original Glazed Doughnut Dots with marshmallow-flavored buttercreme topping and a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man candy.
Krispy Kreme is also offering a drink to go with your special doughnuts- Slimer’s Slime-ade, which is colored “ectoplasm green”.
The new flavors are now available, but only for a limited time at participating outlets. You can buy the doughnuts individually or in a special box that looks like the gadgets the Ghostbusters use to catch ghosts.
