Mexico 2024 Elections: voting center hours in the USA

The INE points out that if you registered to vote from abroad and your registration was successfully completed, you will be able to exercise your right to vote this June 2. In 2024, Mexicans in the United States and other countries can vote in three ways: online, by mail or in person. Below is an explanation of what each one consists of.

I vote online

From May 18 until 6:00 p.m. (Central Mexico Time) on Sunday, June 2, Mexicans in the USA will be able to cast their vote electronically online. To be able to exercise your vote through this method, you must enter the link that the INE sent to your email. Only then will you be able to enter the Electronic Voting System over the Internet (SIVEI).

Absentee ballot

By now, the INE should have already sent your Postal Electoral Package by courier, which contains the printed electoral ballots, the instructions and the prepaid envelope for you to return your votes to the INE in Mexico.

If this is your case, you should have returned the envelope with your votes by now, as they had to arrive in Mexico no later than 08:00 a.m. (Central Mexico Time), on June 1, 2024.

In-person vote

On June 2, 2024, you must go to one of the Voting Receiving Modules that the INE has enabled to cast your vote. You must present your current Voting Credential, processed as of February 25, 2024, abroad or in Mexico.

This year, there will be 23 Voting Receiving Modules, including 20 in the United States. If you registered previously, you will have your place guaranteed to vote. Otherwise, you will be able to vote within the 1,500 extra spaces that will be in each Module. The vote will be exercised through electronic means.

Center hours vary by location. Here we share a detailed list of the Voting Receiving Modules found in the United States:
