Microsoft outage: Users report 365 service issues today

Update:

Thousands of users attempting to log in to Microsoft products on Thursday were left frustrated as outages were reported across a number of different platforms.

The first issues were reported at around 8am (ET) on Thursday and more than 24,000 outages had been reported within an hour.

Downdetector issued a warning alert: “Downdetector users are reporting possible issues with Microsoft services when connecting through AT&T Fiber in the US East region.”

Which products are affected by Microsoft going down?

Workers attempting to log in on Thursday morning found problems with the Microsoft products that many companies rely on. The issues are known to have affected products in the Microsoft 365 suite, which includes Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Azue, which offered cloud back-up services.

In addition, Xbox users are also reporting problems. Downdetector has found a significant increase in reports of problems with Xbox Live, a gaming and media platform accessible on the Xbox console, Windows PCs and Windows Phone devices.

Microsoft confirmed that their products are having issues in a social media post, writing: “We’re investigating an issue where users may be unable to access multiple Microsoft 365 services.”
