Most popular baby names in 2024 revealed
A look at what are expected to be the most common babies names of 2024 as the SSA prepares to release the final list.

In 2023, Liam, Olivia, Noah, and Emma led the baby name leaderboard, according to the Social Security Administration (SSA). As we await the 2024 final list from the SSA, we look at a few other outlets that are putting out their predictions.
Baby Center, a website that offers support to parents looking for names, says that Olivia and Noah will remain at the top of the 2024 list, with parents unable to get enough of the two names.

Olivia is the feminine version of Oliver and can be traced to its Latin meaning, olive or olive tree. On the other hand, Noah is a religious name, and many associate it with the tale of Noah’s Arc. In addition to the top two, Baby Center does not expect much movement on the final 2024 list compared to 2023. The only difference is that Ellie has moved into the number nine slot, leading Evelyn to slide down the list to the 11th position. As for boys' names, “Asher is back in the top 10 boy names,” reports Baby Center.
As for the top 100, Baby Center reports that Sarah has been bumped off the list for the first time in 60 years.
There could be a few surprises...
However, BabyNames.com, another resource for parents in search of the perfect names, keeps a real-time list based on the names added to lists by parents on the site. For 2024, the lists for boys and girls look something like this:

Although there are some overlaps, the lists provided by the two sources show significant differences. The SSA will provide greater clarity on the names chosen later this year, which may not include as many of the unique names favored by BabyNames.com that were ultimately passed over.
