UNIDENTIFIED ANOMALOUS PHENOMENA

NASA report into UFOs: how to watch the briefing on the unidentified anomalous phenomena study

NASA will release on Thursday the findings of an independent study into unidentified anomalous phenomena, better known as UFOs. Here’s how to watch.

How to watch NASA’s report on UFOs

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration commissioned an independent study into unidentified anomalous phenomena, UAP in shorthand and better known as UFOs, in 2022. The nine-month research was conducted by a panel of 16 experts in the scientific, aeronautics, and data analytics communities.

The team’s main focus was to develop a way in which to evaluate and study unidentified anomalous phenomena in the future “by using data, technology and the tools of science.” Its findings are intended to inform the US space agency on what possible data can be collected going forward as well as how to collect it as to shed light on what exactly are unidentified anomalous phenomena and what’s causing them.

Those hoping to get insight into previous UAP incidents will be disappointed, as the report is not a review on them. NASA says that drawing scientific conclusions about the nature of UAP is presently impossible. This is due to the limited number of high-quality observations but it is hoped that the report will identify the data and scientific tools that will aid in moving our understanding forward.

“Exploring the unknown in space and the atmosphere is at the heart of who we are,” NASA explained.

What time does the NASA UFO briefing start?

The presentation of the independent study’s findings will be get going at 10 am ET Thursday 14 September. The briefing on unidentified anomalous phenomena will be broadcast from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s headquarters in Washington DC.
