National Wing Day 2024 deals, discounts and freebies

Chicken wings hail from Buffalo, New York, and the story goes that Teressa Bellissimo first crafted the recipe at the Anchor Bar, which offered late-night bites. Teressa and her husband Frank added chicken wings to the menu in 1964, and over the next few years, the trend would catch on with restaurants across the northeast coming up with their own recipes, according to the National Chicken Wing Day website.

A number of national chains are participating, and like other holidays of nature, they are using it to attract customers to their mobile applications.

Applebee’s

Applebee’s, for example, is offering a BOGO deal on chicken wings today if they make the purchase through the restaurant’s app or website. Customers can choose between boneless or bone-in wings. The deal will only be active on Sunday, July 29, and you need to use the promo code WINGDAY24 at checkout.

Buffalo Wild Wings

Using the Buffalo Wild Wings app, you can use the promo code WINGDAY to receive six boneless or traditional wings. To claim the deal you will need to apply the code at checkout.

Wingstop

Using the code FREEWINGS at checkout on the Wingspot app will land you five free wings on Sunday.

The national convince store chain is also offering a deal available through their mobile app. On Sunday, if you order a five-piece-bone-in wings, you can receive five more for free. For fans of boneless wings, don’t worry; they have you covered, too. Purchase a pack of 8 boneless wings, and you can receive another eight for free.
