McDonald’s has launched a new chain called CosMc’s that will offer primarily coffee and other beverages. Find out where the first locations will be.
McDonald’s is the largest fast food restaurant chain in the world. Despite being world-renowned for its Big Mac and other burger offerings, the company continues to reinvent itself. It has launched a new chain of restaurants called CosMc’s that will offer what it calls “out of this world drinks”.
The restaurant is named after one of McDonald’s little known characters named CosMc, a six-handed alien known for grabbing hamburgers, which he wanted to bring back home after visiting Earth for a mission.
According to a statement from McDonald’s, CosMc’s is a new small-format, beverage-led concept, with a digital and drive thru experience, “inspired by nostalgia” that will feature a “bold and refreshing” drinks menu, as well as other delicacies.
“CosMc’s seamlessly blends brand-new, otherworldly beverage creations with a small lineup of food, including a select few McDonald’s favorites- all designed to boost your mood into the stratosphere, if only for a few moments,” the statement said.

The company announced that as part of a limited test, the first CosMc's location opens this month in Bolingbrook, Illinois. McDonald's also reported that it plans to open more branches in the coming months.
The company reported that it plans to open approximately 10 pilot CosMc’s locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio metropolitan areas.
What is the menu at CosMc’s?
CosMc’s menu is rooted in “drink exploration, with bold, unexpected flavor combinations and vibrant colors,” the company says. Plus, you can customize your drinks with boba, syrups, vitamins and more.
The drink options are varied, from lemonades and specialty teas to cold brew coffee such as the Sour Cherry Energy Slush, Tropical Spiceade and S'mores Cold Brew.
As for food, CosMc’s will feature a spicy cheese sandwich, salty hash brown bites and pretzel bites served with dips. If dessert is your thing, you can also enjoy a lemon and blueberry cookie sundae, as well as fudge brownies, among others, as well as some McDonald’s classics.
