Whether you are a fan or not, it’s hard to deny that Apple has revolutionized the technology industry. In 2007, the company created by Steve Jobs launched what would become one of the most popular mobile devices around the globe: the iPhone.

Sixteen years have passed since then and the industry has witnessed the launch of almost 40 different models since its innovative creation:

1st Gen, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4s, 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, SE 1st Gen, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, X, XS, XS+, XR, 11 , 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, SE 2nd Gen, 12, 12 Mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 13, 13 Mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max, SE 3rd Gen, 14, 14 plus, and 14 Pro Max.

If you are a loyal consumer of the brand and keep yourself up to date with the latest releases, you are likely to have an old iPhone model in your possession. If this is the case, we recommend that you carefully review the characteristics of your cellphone, as there is a specific model that could be worth up to $100,000.

Old iPhone models sell for up to $100,000: What are they?

According to the auction house LCG Auctions, the first-generation iPhone, that is, the first model released by Apple, can sell for up to $100,000, as long as the unit meets the following characteristics:

  • 4 GB memory
  • Factory-sealed

The auction started on Friday, June 30 at $10,000; currently, the bid stands at $14,640. According to the official LCG Auctions website, the auction will run until July 16, and the item is expected to sell for between $50,000 and $100,000.

The first-generation iPhone was on sale in June 2009 for just $499.
