Olive Garden is bringing back these discontinued dishes this fall

Olive Garden is revamping its menu for fall by reintroducing dishes it discontinued during the pandemic.

The Italian-American casual dining chain is bringing back two fan favorites- its steak gorgonzola Alfredo and stuffed chicken marsala, in an effort to attract customers this season.

Olive Garden is among a number of restaurant chains that have seen sales slump this year as inflation-weary diners stayed away from eating out.

“We always want to give our guests more of what they love when they come to Olive Garden, which is why we’re bringing back our steak gorgonzola Alfredo and stuffed chicken marsala later in our fiscal year,” an Olive Garden spokesperson told CBS MoneyWatch.

The chain’s re-inclusion of the dishes will add more options with a higher protein content to its pasta-heavy list of offerings. These courses were pulled out during the pandemic as Olive Garden streamlined their menus during that period.

Olive Garden expands sauce selection for Never Ending Pasta Bowl deal

Aside from bringing back the two popular menu items, the restaurant is also expanding its choices for the Never Ending Pasta Bowl promotion with the addition of the garlic herb sauce.

The $13.99 all-you-can-eat deal has had the same price for two years. The promo provides unlimited pasta and sauce, along with soup or salad and breadsticks.

For $4.99 more, you can upgrade the offer to include never-ending toppings. With this amount, you can choose from 80 pasta bowl creations. The toppings include meatballs, Italian sausage, and crispy chicken fritta.

Pasta selections are spaghetti, angel hair, fettuccine, and rigatoni, while sauces to choose from are Alfredo, marinara, meat sauce, creamy mushroom, five-cheese marinara, and now garlic herb sauce.

The endless pasta bowl promo will only be available until Nov. 17, 2024.
