Make a selection to get generative fill
To use generative fill, you make a selection and then Photoshop will ask for a text prompt (which you can choose to give or not, if you don't it'll guess what you want it to do). Firefly then generates three options from which you can choose - if you don't like any, you can just ask it to generate again.
System requirements
Adobe say the new beta version of Photoshop needs the same system requirements as the current version of the software.
Adobe's view
Adobe says that bringing Firefly into Photoshop is "the start of the company's major initiative to integrate generative AI into existing creative workflows across Creative Cloud".
Training Data for Firefly
Adobe says that all the training data for Firefly comes from content the company has rights to, which means that for users there should be no risk of legal repercussions from using what the AI generates.
Adobe's AI Firefly comes to Photoshop
Adobe released its AI image generator Firefly in March, and today it's bringing Firefly to Adobe Photoshop, allowing users to add or remove objects or quickly extend images with AI generated content.
Adobe are announcing the addition of Firefly to Photoshop with an online presentation of the power of the new tools.
