Piqué fearing the worst ahead of Shakira and Bizarrap song drop

The Colombian artist, who recently split from the former Barcelona defender, releases BZRP Music Session #53 on Wednesday and the internet can’t wait to find out if it’s about the footballer.

Colombian artist Shakira is joining forces with Argentine record producer Bizarrap for one of his Music Sessions after teasing a new track on Monday. Both artists took to social media to confirm their collaboration.

The new song had been initially teased with a release date of Wednesday (Jan. 11) before the Latin American artists announced the collab. Shakira even wrote a one-liner on her social networks that read: “A wolf like me is not for guys like you! 01/11.″

Is Piqué the subject of Shakira’s new song?

And while this will not be the first song the Colombian artist released since her separation from her ex Gerard Piqué, the expectation online (just check out the replies to the tweet from Bizarrap) is that this song could be a perfect opportunity for Shakira to send a pointed message to the father of her children, though no more details have leaked to confirm the actual content.

After a difficult year of her separation from the Spanish soccer star, Shakira shared an emotional message of hope on January 1st, that read “Even if someone’s betrayed us, we must continue to trust others. When faced with contempt, continue to know your worth. Because there are more good people than indecent ones. More people with empathy than indifference.”

Shakira continued: “The ones who leave are fewer than the many who stay by our side. Our tears are not in vain, they water the soil our future will spring from and make us more human, so that even while suffering heartache we can continue to love.”

Shakira’s Monotonia

Her previous song “Monotonia” was already largely linked to the couple’s separation, with the opening lines reading: ‘It was neither your fault nor mine / the monotony was to blame / I never said anything but it hurt me / I knew this would happen.’

In that music video, the artist looks distressed as her ex shoots her straight in the chest, where her heart is ejected from her body, leaving a huge hole.
