If you don’t know about pegging, don’t worry. You’re not alone, and you don’t need to feel ashamed. It’s not for everyone, but for those who do enjoy it, we typically leave them be without questioning it. That is, unless they may or may not be a Prince of England, and now next in line to the British throne.

What is pegging?

Pegging is a sexual act in which one person, usually a woman or otherwise person without a penis, puts on a strap-on dildo (typically) to perform anal sex on another human. That is as blunt and simple as I could think to explain it, so I hope you got the picture without having to do a regrettable Google search. If you do feel the need for further clarification, I’ll wait here patiently while you check before continuing.

What do pegging and Prince William have in common?

Anything from here on is purely speculation. In the summer of 2022, just a couple of months before the death of the Queen, there was a post by a celebrity gossip page called DeuxMoi which reported on an extramarital affair in which an unnamed “British Royal” was involved. And suddenly, a peculiar hashtag started trending. The hashtag in question: #PrinceOfPegging.

Kate Middleton focus reignites pegging discussion

At least you didn’t have to do that.

Google searches for “pegging” spiked by 400 percent on that day, a testament to people’s interests in the sexual preferences of famous, pretty people. And now the curiosity has resurfaced given the huge media and social interest in Prince William’s wife, Catherine, Princess of Wales, in recent days.

The post by DeuxMoi almost two years ago said this:

“This is so salacious I’m almost too shook to share with you (But will anyway). This British Royal extramarital affair is an open secret in London and amongst the English aristo set, and is the talk of every party, I was told the real reason for affair was the royal’s love of pegging, which the wife is far too old-fashioned to engage in. The wife doesn’t mind her and in fact prefer her husband getting his sexual needs fulfilled elsewhere, as long as things don’t become emotional, which was the case with the last woman. #PrinceOfPegging.”

And thus, the Prince of Pegging was born.

Speculation was that Prince William is the pegging-lover in question and Kate is the less-sexually-adventurous wife. Apparently William has been rumored to enjoy pegging since college, though there’s no actual evidence to the truth of that claim. Here at AS, we don’t kink shame. Whoever the pegging-lover is, we only hope all parties involved find a way to be satisfied.
