Scott Galloway, economist, explains why Trump is going to bomb Iran: “the infrastructure for strikes is already in place”

The business professor and social commentator thinks there is no doubt that the U.S. will attack Iran, but the real motive isn’t a deal on its nuclear program.

Update:

The USS Gerald R. Ford, the world’s largest aircraft carrier, has arrived at the US naval base of Souda Bay on Crete. It will stay there for the next few days to refuel and gather supplies before continuing on to join the rest of the massive U.S. military contingent staging in the Middle East, poised to strike Iran.

President Donald Trump has ordered the deployment of the largest force of American aircraft and warships to the region in decades to get Tehran to make a “meaningful deal” over its nuclear program. While he says that he hasn’t decided whether or not to carry out strikes on the Islamic Republic, marketing professor at NYU Stern School of Business Scott Galloway said recently on his show, The Prof G Pod, that “We are so F***ing bombing Iran.”

Why Scott Galloway believes the U.S. will bomb Iran: Epstein

According to the business scholar, the “rational reasons why we’ll bomb” are first and foremost that “the infrastructure for strikes is already in place.” Currently, there are 13 warships in the region including the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and three guided-missile destroyers with a second aircraft carrier, the above-mentioned USS Gerald Ford, en route.

Additionally, dozens of A-10, F-15, F-16, F-22 and F-35 warplanes have been sent to the Middle East, along with scores of communications, refueling, surveillance, and transport aircraft. “Just the cost to organize all this and move it there is staggering,” said Galloway.

While the immense show of U.S. force is there to get Tehran to make concessions at the ongoing talks in Geneva, Galloway notes that each side’s position is “described as very far apart,” and that “the window for a diplomatic resolution is measured in days, not weeks.” Galloway argues that the talks have already broken down and “we have the military option fully ready.”

But the real reason the U.S. will bomb Iran according to Galloway is “Epstein.”

“Trump is mentioned in the Epstein files more times than Jesus is mentioned in the Bible, or the term meth is mentioned in all seasons of breaking Bad combined,” he said.

Although Galloways believes the reason for why Trump will order the military strikes on Iran may be to distract the American public from the never-ending scandal surrounding the late convicted sex offender who trafficked minors and was Trump’s “best friend” for years, he supports the United States bombing the Middle East nation.

I’m in favor of this. I think the Islamic Republic has been one of the most brutally oppressive, misogynistic regimes in recent history,” he said. “I think the risks to the upside here are wonderful in terms of peace and stability in the Middle East.”
