Shakira continues to make waves four months after her breakup with Spanish international and Barcelona captain Gerard Piqué. A separation in which they are still immersed through their legal firms to discuss issues such as the custody of their children, Milan and Sasha, and the move of the singer to Miami.

What did Shakira mean?

The Colombian singer seeks to rebuild her life, and she is doing it in a world that has given her so much joy over the years, in music, where she has become one of the world’s most renowned artists, especially through the 2000s. It’s a scene that she has never abandoned, but that she did put to one side for a while, before returning in style with songs like ‘I congratulate you’.

But, Shakira does not seem to want to stop there, and that is why on Thursday night she shared a publication through her social media channels with a mysterious message: It was not your fault ...”.

Shakira playing a marketing game?

The message has received all kinds of reactions from her more than 76 million followers on Instagram, and although the singer’s fans have thought it was directed towards her ex-partner, some have pointed to it being a marketing strategy, with Shakira herself recently announcing that she will release a new album very soon. A different way of showing her feelings and giving music a place in her life: “There have been days when I have had to pick up my pieces from the ground and the only way to do it, to really do it, has been through music,” she has said.

Although it may be a strategy to promote her upcoming album, this does not mean that some songs may refer to Piqué, as happened with the song with Rauw Alejandro, ‘Te felicito’, (I congratulate you) which was quickly associated with the Barça player after his affair with Clara Chía came to light.

The artist is already preparing a new song together in other collaborations, including Ozuna, with whom she recently met to launch a new song, something that fans have been shouting about.
