Gun violence continues unabated in the United States. On the morning of Wednesday, September 24, a shooting occurred at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas, around 7:00 a.m. (local time).
According to ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons, one migrant was killed, while three others were injured. The victims were quickly transported to a nearby hospital. The severity of their injuries is currently unknown.
Suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound
According to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, the suspect—who was initially reported to be a sniper—died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound shortly after committing the crime. This brings the death toll to two.
