SNAP benefits: get Walmart discounts and a Paramount+ subscription
Beneficiaries of the SNAP food assistance scheme can get half-price membership of the Walmart+ rewards programme.
In the United States, there are a number of financial-aid schemes for people who struggle day in, day out to put food on the table. One of these is the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program, most commonly known as SNAP.
Through the SNAP scheme, the US government offers food stamps to low-income households, by depositing funds every month on an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card that can be used at most grocery stores.

If you receive SNAP stamps, you might be interested to know that Walmart, the US’s largest retail chain, is offering membership discounts to beneficiaries of the programme.
Normally, membership of Walmart+, the store’s rewards scheme, costs $98 a year. However, if you have a SNAP EBT card, you’ll only have to pay half that: $49 annually, a sum that works out at just under $6.50 a month.
Walmart+ membership includes discounts on selected products, free home delivery and a subscription to the streaming service Paramount+.
