Summer is still more than a month away but Starbucks is getting a head start on the season by offering deals on drinks to cool off with.

The first thing you have to do is download the restaurant’s app and sign up to be a Starbucks Rewards member.

It’s free to join, and once you do, you will receive a 50% discount on any handcrafted drink in the month of May if you sign up through the link in the app that says “New Members Get 50% Off”. You just have to claim the discount during your first week as a new member of the rewards program.

Half-price Fridays

As a Starbucks Rewards member, you can take 50% off one standard menu-sized handcrafted drink of your choice between 12 noon and 6 p.m. local time every Friday of May at participating locations.

This would include their limited-edition summer offerings like the new Starbucks Refreshers beverages featuring raspberry flavored pearls: Summer-Berry, Summer-Berry with Lemonade, and Summer Skies Drink, as well as the old summertime favorite, White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew.

Starbucks will also give its members a personalized offer that they will only be able to see each Monday of the month beginning May 13. Just look for your special deal at the offers tab of the Starbucks app, then activate it. The promotions include buy one get one offers, discounts on drinks, and Triple Star Days.
