The US News and World Report has come out with its annual rankings on the best places to live in the United States. In coming up with the list, they combined public data from various government institutions with surveys to determine the opinion of respondents regarding the area in which they would wish to live.
The media outlet studied 150 cities which had the largest population in the country and looked into factors such as the strength of the job market, the desirability of the places, their affordability, and the quality of life they offer. Other more easily measured qualities such as the weather and the number of museums, restaurants, and parks in the cities were also taken into consideration.
The news organization gathered data from the FBI, the Census Bureau, the Department of Labor, among other sources in coming up with the study. Editors of US News also asked people about their preferred city of residence.

The top 10 best places to live in the US in 2023
According to their analysis, the best place to live in the country is Green Bay, Wisconsin, which climbed two spots from its number three ranking the year before. Despite its harsh winters, the city earned the top position owing to its affordability and quality of life.

Colorado and Florida remain popular, with two cities from each state making it to the top ten.
