The video that could be key evidence in Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial

The trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp could take a turn in favor of the actor after a video emerged showing Heard’s adultery.

In 2018, actress Amber Heard published an article in which she described her experience of “representing domestic abuse”, which was assumed to be aimed at actor Johnny Depp. The two had been married, but split up in 2017.

Faced with this, Warner producers decided to drop Depp from their projects, including the recently released Secrets of Dumbledore movie. The situation between the two is now the stage for a very public legal battle.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star’s legal team argue that everything published by Heard is false and launched a $50 million lawsuit, a lawsuit that was answered by the actress with a $100 million counterclaim. The litigation could still last for several more weeks.

A CCTV video showing Heard with other suitors during their relationship could be the tool that helps Johnny Depp win the lawsuit.

The video that could help Depp

In the images, Heard is seen meeting in the couple’s apartment with two men: tech mogul Elon Musk and actor James Franco. Both have been called to testify on Depp’s behalf, to prove that they had a relationship with Heard while she was still married to the 58-year-old actor.

In the video Heard, wearing only a robe, is riding the elevator down to the parking garage of her building in Los Angeles, where she and Depp lived for several years, and then lets a man into the elevator who is allegedly fellow actor James Franco. They both go up again and head towards the actress’s apartment.

In the case that these images are verified, the encounter occurred a day after the alleged fight in which Johnny Depp left bruises on the actress.

What happened in the courtroom on Tuesday?

Johnny Depp testified under oath at the court in Fairfax, Virginia, with Heard’s lawyers expected to cross-examine him on Wednesday.

I never struck Ms Heard in that way, nor have I struck any woman in my life,” he testified, adding that “her accusations sort of permeated the industry”.

“It’s been six years of trying times - so strange when one day you’re Cinderella, so to speak, and then in 0.6 seconds, you’re Quasimodo,” Depp added.
