You can truly buy just about everything on Amazon and have it shipped to you. That is what one group of TikTokers set out to show when he purchased a $26,000 home and everything needed to live in it.

The prefabricated foldout tiny home arrived at its destination in a box bearing the e-retailer’s signature logo, along with a mountain of additional boxes loaded with “essentials”. BoC (@bestofcleaners) unpacked their purchase, opened it up and began moving in. However, in the process, they found a couple glitches.

So what does $26,000 get you when you buy a home on Amazon? The structure basically starts out looking like a modified shipping container with a door and window at opposite ends. Inside there is a bathroom with a toilet and shower ready to use once hooked up to running water.

Once the sides are lifted up a floor can be lowered down to expand the structure out on either side. The front door doesn’t allow for big objects to be moved inside through it like the fully assembled bunk bed that also came from Amazon. However, that problem was solved fairly quickly by the TikTokers when they opened one of the side walls on hinges.

There was one major thing missing that the TikTokers discovered when they went to plug in the fridge though, no electrical sockets to connect to. Again though, a solution was on hand which had already been purchased through Amazon, a generator.

The only thing it appears that you cannot buy from the online retailer and have shipped to you is the land where you plan to park the portable home.

If you are thinking about getting one of these for yourself, it’s advisable to check the zoning laws and any permits that you may need in order to call one of these tiny homes your abode.
