Why hasn’t Donald Trump gone to any of the Republican primary debates?

Republican primary voters will not have the opportunity to see Donald Trump debate with his challengers within the party on Wednesday evening. The Trump campaign has called on the Republican National Committee to cancel the upcoming debate, seeing it as an act of disloyalty when he is the clear frontrunner and party leader.

Republican candidates vying to become the party’s nominee to face President Joe Biden in the 2024 elections will meet for the third GOP debate tonight, Wednesday, 8 November. The event will occur at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

So far, just five contenders have qualified for the two-hour debate, which will begin at 8:00 pm ET. The debate will be hosted by NBC with moderators Lester Holt, anchor of “Nightly News,” Kristen Welker, moderator of “Meet the Press,” and Hugh Hewitt, conservative-leaning host of “The Hugh Hewitt Show” on Salem Radio Network.

Tonight, five candidates vying for the Republican nomination will face off in Miami.

This is the third and final debate that will take place before the primaries begin, giving the candidates one last chance to make their case with millions watching at home.

Donald Trump will not be attending the event. His campaign had requested the Republican National Committee to cancel the debate, but their request was turned down. Trump is currently leading in the polls by a significant margin, with most surveys indicating that he has more backing from Republican voters than all of the other candidates put together.
