This 12-year-old with ADHD and a 132 IQ goes to school and college at the same time: “Studying is easy”

The 12-year-old is currently in sixth grade while also specializing in Community Management to earn a college diploma. L.G. began to stand out as early as her first year of life, when she was already forming complete sentences.

At just 12, she is studying Community Management at the Interamerican Open University (UAI) while finishing sixth grade in her hometown of Funes. The young student has an IQ of 132.

The girl from Santa Fe, Argentina, was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and giftedness. Despite this unusual diagnosis, Ghione embraced studying as a natural way to overcome any obstacle.“My brain doesn’t take the same path, but it gets there”

“My brain doesn’t take the same path as most, but it gets there. And sometimes, even faster,” the young student explained through social media. L.G.’s early development meant that six schools rejected her enrollment, feeling unprepared to meet her needs.

Faced with the difficulty of finding a school for Ghione, her family turned to specialists in Córdoba, who confirmed her strong communication skills. “Besides the fact that I love studying because it feels easy, I enjoy communicating, like they do on the news or on social media. I’ve always been interested in that—how brands organize themselves,” she explained. Today, she is able to manage her time to attend school in the morning, take online classes at night, and still enjoy hobbies like volleyball and dance.

By three months old, she was already sitting up without any problems, and by the time she turned one, she was speaking in complete sentences. Despite her abilities, her parents decided not to advance her school years in order to preserve her social relationships. Through social media, the young student shares her journey.
