Apple got a jump on Spotify this year releasing its version of users’ yearly roundup of top albums, artists, genres, playlists and songs and more, called Replay, ahead of the popular music streaming site’s Wrapped. Apple is letting users not only look back on their listening habits with new features this year, but also see where they rank among fans of their favorite artists as well when they first started listening to the music that tops their list.

Kendrick Lamar topped the charts of Apple Music’s year-end compilation with the most streams globally with his track ‘Not Like Us’. From the time it was released in May, it spent six weeks at the top of Global Daily Hot 100 chart. Rounding out the top five were ‘Beautiful Things’ by Benson Boone, ‘Espresso’ by Sabrina Carpenter, ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ by Shaboozey and ‘Cruel Summer’ by Taylor Swift.

A record 39 female artists were among the had songs in the top 100 this year. “2024 was a historic year across the board, as more women reached the year-end global songs chart than ever,” Apple Music said in a press release, according to Today. “Global genres soared to new heights, and many of the top ranks went to artists who had never made the year-end charts before.”

Apple Music’s year-end roundup included seven charts this year. In addition to who topped the charts, the music streaming platform provided insights into users’ favorites and habits with some new features this year. These include:

  • Top 100/500/1000 listeners: Apple expanded the top listener feature to let users find out if they are in the top 500 and 1,000 listeners of their favorite artists or genres.
  • Replay by month: Apple Music users can check out what were their number one album, artist or song from each month throughout 2024.
  • Listening streaks: Users can see their longest consecutive number of days they’ve listened to music on the app.
  • Top artist streak: With this feature Apple Music users will be able to see just how fanatic they are about their number one artist.
  • Date of first play: This feature will allow users to find out when they got hooked a favorite song, album or artist.

How to access Apple Music 2024 Replay

iPhone users with iOS 18.1 can access their 2024 Replay by opening the Apple Music app. It can also be found using the Home, New or Search tabs.

Those who have previous versions of iOS on either mobile or desktop can check out their 2024 Replay by visiting replay.music.apple.com.
