It is election day in Mexico, and not only those within the nation’s borders can vote. Abroad, specifically in 23 cities, Mexico’s election authorities committed to inclusivity and democracy, installed modules so that people outside of Mexico could participate in the elections in person. This is a testament to the government’s dedication to ensuring that every eligible Mexican citizen has the opportunity to exercise their right to vote.

For the first time in history, Mexican citizens could vote in person abroad during a federal election. The process was simple: they had to visit the designated voting location in their city, present their Mexican passport, and cast their vote. Specifically, these locations were in 20 cities in the United States, one in Canada, one in Paris, and one in Madrid.
