President Trump’s White House press secretary has been front and center in recent months and a new interview sheds some light on her personal life.

This is Nicholas Riccio: The White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt’s 59-year-old husband
Since the beginning of the second term of President Donald Trump, press secretary Karoline Leavitt has become a household name.
She is always on hand to give the president’s side of the story, trading jabs with reporters from the White House media room. The 27-year-old Leavitt is the youngest person in US history to hold that role but her career in politics actually began even earlier.
In an interview on The Megyn Kelly Show back in February, Leavitt spoke about her 2022 run for a congressional seat in New Hampshire. She was unsuccessful, but she did meet husband Nicholas Riccio while on the campaign trail.
“A mutual friend of ours hosted an event at a restaurant that he owns up in New Hampshire and invited my husband,” Leavitt explained. “I was speaking. We met, we were acquainted as friends and then we fell in love.”
“I mean it’s a very atypical love story, but he’s incredible,” she said on The Megyn Kelly Show.

Riccio, 59 years old, is 32 years older than Leavitt and is a successful real estate developer. His company Riccio Enterprises now owns 15 buildings in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, which he rents out.
The couple met in 2022 and their first child, Niko, was born on July 10, 2024. They got engaged in December 2023 and then got married in January 2025, three days before Donald Trump was sworn in for his second term in the White House. Leavitt said that Riccio has been a voice of encouragement as she seeks to progress in her own career, in the demanding world of front-line politics.

“He’s built a very successful business himself so now he’s fully supportive of me building my success in my career,” Leavitt explained. She said that she is thankful that her husband is “so supportive, especially during this very chaotic period of life.”
