The toy in question is the Toniebox, a small audio player shaped like a soft, squishy cube. It plays music, recites bedtime stories, and tells educational tales to the little people in your house.

It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it’s proving hugely popular. And the best part? There’s no screen for toddlers to get fixated on for hours on end.

Alongside the cube, which houses the audio player, you can also collect characters from Disney, Paw Patrol, Sesame Street, and more. They are sold separately, but they let kids mix and match stories and songs to keep things fresh.
