Donald Trump may be in serious financial trouble after the New York-based case accusing him of financial crimes comes to a close. Judge Arthur Engoron ordered the former president and the Trump Organization to pay $355 million in damages. And already, the New York Attorney General’s office, led by Letitia James, is moving to seize the Republican’s assets, per reporting from CNN. Two judgments have been filed, one in Westchester County and one in New York City. Trump owns properties in both jurisdictions, with the one in Westchester County being one of the largest. Seven Springs was purchased by the Trump Organization in 1996 and spans three cities: Bedford, Armonk, and Chappaqua.

The estate’s website describes the artistry that went into the property’s design, construction, and maintenance of the 230-acre property. “It is said to have taken nearly 5 years and 500 Italian masons, craftsmen and Artisans from around the world to ensure that the house was opulently designed and meticulously built,” reads the site’s description of the property. The mansion on the estate has sixty rooms, fifteen of which are bedrooms and total more than 50,000 square feet.

Fans of the former president have voiced their frustrations with the fact that he could see the property seized, with many feeling that these attacks are politically motivated to weaken his chances in November.

In addition to this property, the Trump Organization owns buildings in the Big Apple that the Attorney General’s office is also monitoring, including Trump Tower, which includes the penthouse, his hotel adjacent to Central Park, and numerous apartment buildings.

When could the property be seized?

Trump has until Monday, March 25th, to comply with the sentence or persuade an appeals court to allow him to pay a smaller amount or defer payment until after the appeals process concludes.

The Trump Organization owns properties across the US and worldwide, but so far, no other judgments have been issued that put at risk his other estates, including most notably Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
