This is who will be performing at the Trump inauguration on Dec. 20
The first moments of the second Donald Trump presidency wil be spent with the company of singers from yesteryear.
Country music sensation Carrie Underwood will headline the musical performances at Donald Trump’s upcoming presidential inauguration. The musical performances will be part of a four-day inaugural celebration, beginning with events at Trump’s golf course in Sterling, Virginia. The main ceremony will take place on January 20 at the U.S. Capitol, where Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts
The event will kick off with a musical prelude by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln combined chorus, followed by the U.S. Marine Marching Band. Vice President-elect J.D. Vance will be sworn in first by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, setting the stage for Trump’s inauguration.
Country music star Carrie Underwood will headline the musical performances. The Grammy Award-winning artist will perform “America the Beautiful” alongside the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club.
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood has said. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

The inauguration will feature an eclectic mix of performers, including some unexpected additions:
Known for their iconic hits like “Y.M.C.A.” and “Macho Man,” The Village People will perform at several inaugural events. The band addressed potential controversy, stating, “We believe that music is to be performed without regard to politics” while their songs were used by Trump on the campaign trail the last two years.
