2024 United States presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris have agreed to a debate which will be aired on ABC on Tuesday, September 10, with the possibility of two other similar meetings between the pair also in the air.

When has Trump proposed two additional debates with Harris?

Trump had been due to come face-to-face with Joe Biden on the above date until the current President of the United States withdrew his candidacy. Trump had previously said the September 10 debate on ABC had been “terminated” by Biden pulling out of the race, although he has now made a U-turn.

During a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago Club on Thursday, the 78-year-old also proposed two further dates for debates in September, which Fox and NBC are interested in showing.

“Those networks, they are very anxiously awaiting that and those dates. So, we have September 4th, September 10th and September 25th. We have spoken to the heads of the network and it’s all been confirmed, other than some fairly minor details - audience, some location, which city would we put it into, but all things that will be settled very easily.

“I think it’ll be very easy. I just look forward to these debates. I think it’s very important the we have them. I hope she agrees to them. September 4th, September 10th, September 25th. I think they’ll be very revealing.

September 10 debate confirmed, Harris “happy” to discuss others

The September 10 debate has been confirmed, while Harris has indicated she would be “happy to have that conversation” regarding two additional debates.

“I’m glad that he’s finally agreed to a debate on September 10. I’m looking forward to it. Hope he shows up,” the Democrat told reports in Michigan.

As it stands, no start time has been scheduled for the ABC debate on September 10, which may well be included in the “fairly minor details” that still have to be ironed out.
