Donald Trump and his co-defendants have until Friday to appear in court in Georgia. They are facing a combined 41 charges relating to the 2020 electrion, including very serious RICO charges, usually used for tackling organized crime.

Trump plans to turn himself in on Thursday, posting on his social media platform Truth Social “Can you believe it? I’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be ARRESTED.”

No date has yet been set for the actual case to begin. Trump has a very busy calendar next year and will be juggling three criminal cases allongside his third run for president. The array of cases against him hasn’t lsot him support amongst his Republican base but will likely damage his standing with swing voters.

What time is the court appearance?

As mentioned, it will be taking place on Thursday. No information has been released about the specific timings, but it is more than likely to be between the late morning and early afternoon.

Why is Trump being arraigned again?

The former president has been criminally charged, along with 18 co-defendants, by a grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia with racketeering and conspiracy felonies related to interfering with the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election. District Attorney Fani Willis gave those accused in the indictment until 25 August to surrender themselves at the Rice Street Jail in Atlanta.

On Monday, the former president’s lawyers reached an agreement on bail, $200,000, and the conditions of his release while awaiting trial.
