Trump claims his “biggest achievement” gets “zero talk” during White House press conference
Celebrating one year of his second term, Trump lists sweeping wins and insists historic drug price cuts get no attention.

President Donald Trump has revealed what he believes is his biggest achievement of his second term so far during a lengthy press conference at the White House marking the first year of his return to the Oval Office.
Shortly before Tuesday’s regular press briefing was due to take place, press secretary Karoline Leavitt dropped a hint on social media that Trump would be making an appearance.
“A very special guest will be joining me at the podium today…. TUNE IN!,” she wrote.
Trump defends immigration policy
Starting almost an hour behind schedule, a surprisingly quiet and low-key Trump spent the first 15 minutes or so appearing to influence voters’ views on his administration’s immigration policies and the enforcement efforts of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Trump initially avoided discussing his views on a potential invasion of Greenland and a dispute with NATO over his intentions for the world’s largest island, which belongs to Denmark. He was, however, later asked about them by reporters.
Instead, the president ran through a series of “worst of the worst” mugshots of people detailed by ICE, while repeatedly taking aim at predecessor Joe Biden.
“These people all came from outside of the country, allowed in by sleepy, crooked Joe Biden, the worst president we’ve ever had,” Trump said.
A long list of claimed wins
He then went on to waffle through a lengthy list of what he said his administration had achieved over the past 12 months, including, but not limited to:
- Ending Joe Biden’s stagflation
- Creating “super-high” economic growth
- Driving gas prices down
- Slashing the federal budget deficit by 27%
- Slashing the trade deficit by 77%
- “Tremendous” national security and “no inflation” because of tariffs
- Washington, D.C., crime being “almost done to nothing”
The achievement Trump says no one is covering
However, Trump made a point of singling out one achievement he claims is the “biggest thing of all” and one that he says receives virtually no media coverage.
“The biggest thing of all, and there is zero talk about it in the media, is the price of prescription drugs. Drug prices will go down more than ever before, in any country. We were subsidising the entire world. At one point, we were paying 13 times more than any country.
“If a drug cost $10 in London, it cost $120 in USA. We secured agreements to slash drug prices by up to 600%. Something that was costing $1300 has come down to 87. But the fake news wasn’t writing about it,” he complained.
