Trump’s controversial thanks to Brittany Mahomes, wife of Patrick Mahomes

In recent weeks, Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has been embroiled in a major controversy due to her alleged support for Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy.

The former soccer player caused a stir on social media after some users spotted her liking a Trump post describing his 2024 platform. The like was later removed.

Following the criticism against her, Brittany shared a message for her haters on her Instagram stories. “Honestly, to be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep-rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well,” she wrote.

Although she neither confirmed nor denied her support for the Republican candidate, the mother liked several comments in favor of Trump on a Instagram post.

Donald Trump thanks Brittany Mahomes: “It’s nice to see someone who loves our country”

Through his Truth Social account, the former president shared a message to thank the “defense” of the founding co-owner of the Kansas City Current of the NWSL.

“I want to thank the beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country,” he wrote.

“With Crime and Illegal Immigration totally out of control, INFLATION Ravaging all Americans, and a World that is laughing at the stupidity of our hapless ‘leaders,’ it is nice to see someone who loves our Country, and wants to save it from DOOM. What a great couple - See you both at the Super Bowl!,” he added.

Taylor Swift, also at the center of the controversy

Amid the Brittany Mahomes controversy, Taylor Swift has also been at the center of the conversation, as both are friends. Following Mahomes’ stance, Swift has been questioned about her own political stance, as she has not endorsed either candidate’s run for the White House.

The ‘Cruel Summer’ singer endorsed the candidacy of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020. That is why Democrats expect her to repeat this move for the upcoming elections and support Harris’ candidacy.

However, Swift’s last social media post was to address having to cancel her concert in Vienna after a terrorist plot was thwarted, which she waited to put out at the end of the European leg of her tour. Her social media has been dormant since posting the following:

“Having our Vienna shows cancelled was devastating,” she said. “The reasons for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear, and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many people had planned on coming to those shows.”
