J.D. Vance has come under fire due to Usha’s Indian heritage. Far-right commentators have expressed skepticism about J.D. Vance’s stance on immigration, insinuating that his wife’s ethnicity might influence his policies. Conservative pundit Stew Peters went as far as to suggest an “Indian coup” was taking place in the United States, pointing to Usha Vance’s ethnicity as evidence.

White supremacist Nick Fuentes also attacked the Vance’s for their interracial marriage.

The ethnicity of someone’s partner of course has no bearing on anything but is another reminder of the state the Rpeublican party finds itself in.

Ewan Vance

The eldest of the Vance children, Ewan, was born in June 2017. His arrival marked the beginning of J.D. and Usha’s journey into parenthood. The couple received warm congratulations from public figures like podcast host Megyn Kelly upon Ewan’s birth.
