On July 28, millions of Venezuelans will go to the polls to exercise their right to vote in the general elections for the next presidential term 2025 - 2031.

According to official data from the Electoral Registry, published by the National Electoral Council (CNE), 21 million Venezuelans are registered to vote this Sunday, including more than 69,000 voters abroad.

How to check if you am eligible to vote or not

Every citizen who wishes to exercise their right to vote in Venezuela must be registered in the electoral register. To verify if you are registered, go to the official CNE website, and locate the section “Electoral Register. Check your data.”

Once inside, enter your identity card number. The system will then provide you with the data of the identity card holder, place of residence, and corresponding voting center.

How voting will be conducted

Polling stations will open at 6:00 a.m. sharp, while closing is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. local time. Polls will remain open as long as there are voters in line. According to CNE figures, 15,700 voting centers and 30,026 polling stations will be open during the elections.
