Voter registration deadlines: When is the last day to register to vote in every state?
The mid-terms are coming up on November 8th, when are the voter registration dates in every state?
In November, voters will have a chance to voice their opinions on races up and down the ballot.
Since congressional terms are only two years, all voters will have the option to elect or re-elect their member in the House of Representatives. Thirty-four seats in the Senate are up this year, and Democrats are fighting for a stronger majority.
In light of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, many races thought to be a no-contest for Republicans have become increasingly competitive. Congressman Tim Ryan is polling slightly higher than Republican JD Vance. Similarly in Pennsylvania, Dr. Oz has not managed to gain much traction against current Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman. However, there are still many states where the GOP holds a sizable advantage including Florida, Missouri, and Iowa.
When are the deadlines to register to vote in each state?
To be able to cast a ballot one must register in their respective state. Typically the deadline will be set a few days before an election, so it is critical to check, one that you in fact are registered and to be aware of the cut off date in case you are not.
