The Social Security Administration (SSA) has released the following payment dates for December:
1: SSI payments for December
3: Payments for beneficiaries who started receiving benefits before May 1997
11: Payments for those with birthdays from the 1st to the 10th of the month
18: Payments for those with birthdays from the 11th to the 20th of the month
24: Payments for those with birthdays from the 21st to the 31st of the month
29: Advance SSI payment for January 2025
SSI beneficiaries to be the first to receive COLA boosted payments
SSI recipients are in for a pleasant surprise this month. Due to a quirk in the calendar, they will receive two payments in the same month.
The regular December payment will be distributed on December 1, while the January 2025 payment will be advanced to December 29. This early payment ensures that beneficiaries receive their funds before the New Year’s holiday on January 1.
