Walmart to open 5 new Pet Services centers: locations and opening dates
Walmart is “unleashing” pet care centers to five new locations in Georgia and Arizona to provide customers with affordable care for their pets.
Walmart is expanding the number of pet care centers customers can access after the success of its pilot in Dallas, Texas. Five new locations will be opening this month in Arizona and Georgia.
Pet care offerings at America’s largest retailer will include “access to affordable in-person and virtual veterinary care, pet prescription delivery, grooming services, pet food and supplies,” the company said in a press release. “Walmart understands that pets are family, and we’re proud to be a trusted destination for our pet parents,” said vice president of merchandising, Pets, Walmart U.S. Kaitlyn Shadiow in a statement.

Currently customers can make appointments at the existing location in Dallas, Texas as well as the two new locations in Georgia situated in Alpharetta and Cumming. In the coming days pet care centers will also open at three locations in Arizona including in Chandler, Glendale and Mesa. Walmart plans to continue bringing Pet Service centers to more communities in the future.
“Whether shopping in-stores or online, Walmart offers a differentiated omnichannel experience and a wide assortment of offerings – from products and prescriptions to services – available at our Every Day Low Prices to make pet care affordable and convenient,” said Shadiow.
Additionally, Walmart will officially launch its ‘Walmart+ benefit with Pawp’ on October 18. Walmart+ members will have free 24/7 access to online pet care services. Customers will get unlimited no-charge visits via text or video with veterinary professionals “to quickly address their pets’ health concerns from anywhere, providing peace of mind and expert care at their fingertips,” says Walmart.
Walmart customers can also take advantage of the retailer’s expanded Pet Pharmacy Services to get their pet prescriptions filled either in stores or have them delivered right to their doorstep.
